USC commit Bronny James suffers cardiac arrest; collapses on court.


USC commit and McDonald's All-American Bronny James was involved in a on-court collapse that occurred yesterday during a Trojans practice. The eldest child of NBA superstar LeBron James was further hospitalized Monday and placed into the ICU.


As we now know, Bronny is now in stable condition and has recently been removed from the ICU, per the James family. As a spokesperson states, "Yesterday while practicing, Bronny James suffered a cardiac arrest. Medical staff was able to treat Bronny and take him to the hospital. He is now in stable condition and no longer in the ICU. We ask for respect and privacy for the James family as we will update media when there is more information. LeBron and Savannah wish to publicly send their deepest thanks and appreciation to the USC medial staff for their incredible work and dedication to the safety of their athletes."


The young Trojan who is a top-30 recruit in his incoming freshman class and is currently a valuable asset to the top-five ranked incoming USC recruiting class.


The James' collapse marks one of the multiple collapses to happen in sports these past few years following the outbreak of the Corona Virus. The collapse of NFL player Damar Hamlin of the Buffalo Bills, along with the collapse of Florida superstar Keyonte Johnson back in December of 2020.


The combo guard from the James' family who is a possible lottery pick in the 2024 NBA Draft had a stellar season with Sierra Canyon in his senior season and could be a very valuable star player for USC who is a projected top-25 program this upcoming season.
