Earlier today, the Knicks sent Jericho Sims and Miles McBride down to the G-League for an assignment against the College Park Skyhawks. To put it short, they dominated. Deuce ended the game with 25 Points and 6 Assists on 5 of 8 three-pointers and Sims had 20 Points and 7 Rebounds. I watched the game, and they looked phenomenal. They continue to prove to me that they deserve NBA rotational minutes.

First, let's look at Jericho Sims. He should be in the center rotation regardless of whether or not Mitchell Robinson is injured or not. He just needs to play for around 15-20 minutes. The Knicks actually have a pretty good center combination of Robinson, Isiah Hartenstein, and Sims. He is an amazing lob threat and defensive phenom. He can jump out of the gym and can reach any ball with his hustle and hops. If he can work on being patient, he can seriously be a starting center for the Knicks in a year or two.

Then for McBride, he should be getting minutes over Derrick Rose. I love Rose, but he doesn't fit the Knicks current timeline. McBride has shown that he is one of the best players in the G-League, and one of the best Knicks guards. He brings defense, and he brings playmaking. He can serve players easy layups with his play off the bounce, and he can shoot the ball really well. He's shot 50% from 3 in the G-League. He's a great two-way player and I fail to understand why he isn't playing.

After their one-game stint, the Knicks have recalled Sims and McBride from Westchester. The Knicks play the Mavericks on Saturday for their next contest. Hopefully we see the sophomore duo play a little bit more in the weeks to come.
