Rockets Hold On to Defeat Magic

HOUSTON-- Rockets fight for their second win on the season to beat the Magic 134-127.

Houston was shooting lights out from beyond the arc, hitting 24 threes with everyone but Alperen Sengun scoring one.

Mostly everyone looked good out there, Kevin Porter Jr with almost a triple double, Jalen Green carrying the way for Houston in his 34 point performance, and even KJ Martin once again having a good scoring night with an efficient 21 points off the bench.

Paolo Banchero had 30 points on 8-16 shooting, adding more to his ROTY case. Franz Wagner and Terrance Ross also scored well for Orlando, but the Magic aren't equipped enough to go in a deep shooting contest with Houston just yet.

The Paolo vs Jabari Smith matchup was underwhelming. Paolo played a great game once again, but Jabari struggled in his first game back from his illness/ankle injury, with 3 points in 22 minutes.

A needed win for the Rockets was great, but seeing 20 turnovers for them again tonight is still a major issue that doesn't seem to be getting solved anytime soon.

Houston and Orlando share a 2-9 record now, Houston will head into Toronto on Wednesday to try and start up a winning streak, while Orlando will stay at home and take on the hot Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks.

ROCKETS STATS OF THE GAME:

Jalen Green: 34 PTS / 2 STL / 12-18 FG

Kevin Porter Jr: 17 PTS / 11 AST / 8 REB

Alperen Sengun: 20 PTS / 10 REBS / 4 AST

Kenyon Martin Jr: 21 PTS / 5 AST / 8-14 FG
