The Houston Rockets (10-26) will host the Dallas Mavericks (21-16) tonight in the Toyota Center.
Rockets come into the new year trying to end their 3 game losing streak, while the Mavericks are on a 6 game winning streak.
Both these teams played on 12/23/22, just a week and a half ago. That matchup saw Luka Doncic have a 50 point, 10 assist performance in their 6 point win.
In that game for Houston, Jabari Smith Jr. had one of his best game on the year, with 24 points and 10 rebounds on 54% shooting.
Mavericks have been on fire, Rockets have been cold, it'll be hard for Houston to stop Doncic as he's been marvelous with the current streak he's been on.
For Houston, there's a solid chance they play todays game without Alperen Sengun, so we should see Bruno Fernando in the starting line up.
This is the last time the Rockets face the Mavericks this season. They were able to sneak a win in Dallas when Doncic was out in their first matchup, but it's been all Doncic and the Mavericks in the last 2 matchups. It would require a great effort from Houston to win this game.
