Heating Up in Cold Climates: Trade Reports

Minnesota United, the New England Revolution, and Chicago Fire FC have just made big moves.

Minnesota United

Teemu Pukki is being signed with Minnesota United.

Teemu comes with an impressive resume: a combined 88 goals with Norwich City.

This is the man that scored ten goals in ten matches, leading Finland through their campaign to land them a spot in their qualifiers for their first-ever UEFA Euro international tournament in 2020.

We're talking about the future of the Loons, Minnesota United.

New England Revolution

New England is also being loaned left winger Tomás Chancalay from the Argentinian Racing Club.

What does this mean for New England?

Scoring.

New England's, and Bruce Arena, will now have versatility since the loss of Jozy Alditore (buyout contract) and Dylan Borrero (ACL tear) — players like midfielder Carles Gil picking up slack with seven goals and nine assists.

Chancalay is arriving, wrapped up in a pretty bow, with an 8G-5A record with Racing Club. Chancalay is also extremely versatile -- an extremely dangerous center forward, as well.

Chicago Fire FC

Finally, Chicago Fire is adding a stellar midfielder -- Ousmane Doumbia -- as Designated Player.

Doumbia, the Ivorian from FC Lugano, is a staple defensively. While in the Swiss Super League, Doumbia dominated tackling -- leading the league with a whopping 81 tackles.

Doumbia has appeared for 35 matches this season. He is arriving to Chicago with deuce on goals and assists, filling one of the international slots for Chicago.

For all the Fire fans that stand at Section 8, the communications section up in Chicago are incredible. You can also check them out on Twitter, @ChicagoFire. The Club has implemented a lot of new, and improved, programs.
