Utah plays their first eastern conference opponent tonight, as they travel to Statefarm Arena to battle it out with the Atlanta Hawks. On Monday, Atlanta made history by being the first team in the year to beat the 9-0 Bucks 117-98 in spectacular fashion. Hawks guard Dejounte Murray was 2 rebounds off a 25 point triple double, and Hawks rookie A.J. Griffin was huge off the bench. Will Utah be lucky enough tonight to edge a win against this group of hungry dogs?
Things to note
While Utah is 2nd in PPG, Atlanta is not far behind at 6. Expect a high scoring game tonight even if Trae Young misses the game tonight.
The Hawks starting five is extremely talented. With Clint Capela and John Collins in the towering frontcourt, the Jazz will need high production from their bench tonight in order to win.
With Jarred Vanderbilt being listed as questionable yet again for the injury report, there are concerns for Utah's ability to rebound this game. Capela is averaging 10.2 rebounds per game this season off a 20% rebound percentage, and Collins doesn't come too far behind with 8.9 RPG. Utah's top 3 offensive rating is going to have to come huge tonight and the shots will have to be falling.
Injury Report:
Utah:
QUESTIONABLE - Jarred Vanderbilt (Thigh)
Atlanta:
QUESTIONABLE - Trae Young (Shin)
OUT - Bogdan Bogdanovic (Knee)
Betting Advice:
The Hawks are favored -3.5 to win this game. Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if Hawks come out with the win today, as both teams have won their last 3 games, and the Hawks have a major confidence booster after beating Milwaukee on Monday.
